Description
A state-of-the-art student housing complex spanned an entire square block with six five-story buildings, including one central plant and five dormitories. The 18-acre site provided 2,700 beds through a mix of dormitory and apartment-style units, featuring lounges, laundry, retail, dining, and entertainment spaces. A sitewide 5KV distribution system supported the complex. The central plant included two 1200A services, three 750kW generators, two 2300kVA substations for normal power, and one 575kVA for emergency power. MMC handled all electrical systems鈥攍ife safety, security, tele-data, power, and lighting鈥攚ith up to 110 electricians on-site and minimal punch list items upon project completion.
