Description
The OHSU Knight Cancer Research Building (KCRB) is a 7-story, 320,000-square-foot tower that includes approximately 160,000 square feet of wet and dry labs, along with spaces for computational biology, research core services, a conference center, a 300-seat auditorium, retail areas, and one level of underground parking.
This project was a major success, delivered through the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) method. We fostered a culture of trust and respect, emphasizing honesty and vulnerability. Team members learned from one another by actively listening, challenging ideas, and collaborating toward a shared goal: achieving Target Value Design (TVD) numbers while meeting all project objectives.
It was a rewarding journey to watch this collaborative process unfold, and we look forward to applying the lessons learned to future integrated projects.
